Shilla Travel Retail, a leader in travel retail at Changi Airport in Singapore, invites a proactive Assistant Finance Manager to join our dynamic finance team. You will report directly to the Head of Finance and lead the General Ledger (GL) and Non-trade accounting functions, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
In this pivotal role, you will own the month-end close, drive robust financial reporting, and deliver insightful variance analyses that inform business decisions across operations, procurement, and stores. You will build and maintain strong internal controls, manage risk, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Responsibility
- Lead and oversee General Ledger and Non-trade accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Own the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidation for group reporting.
- Prepare timely financial statements, management reports, and robust variance analyses for stakeholders and Head of Finance.
- Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and optimize ERP-based workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and accounts payable/receivable processes; support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, liaise with tax advisors, and ensure statutory compliance across markets.
- Coach and develop the GL and Non-trade team; foster cross-functional collaboration with operations, procurement, and store teams.
- Support system enhancements and data integrity in ERP implementations or upgrades, ensuring seamless financial data flows.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA/CPA are preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience; experience in retail or travel retail is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger, financial reporting, and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS/IFRS).
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and people-management abilities with excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and present to senior management.
- Experience coordinating audits, tax compliance, and maintaining robust internal controls in a fast-paced environment.
