Based in Kota Damansara, Selangor, you will partner with senior management and cross-functional teams to strengthen financial performance, enhance reporting, and support growth initiatives across Malaysia and regional operations. As part of our Finance team, you will supervise month-end close activities, drive accurate financial reporting, manage budgets and forecasts, and ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS and local statutory requirements. You will collaborate with operations, procurement, and sales to optimize working capital, streamline processes, and safeguard assets, while presenting actionable insights to executives to inform strategic decisions. Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) and advanced Excel will help you excel in this role.

Key responsibilities include close coordination with the accounting team, preparation of management reports, and safeguarding robust internal controls. The ideal candidate will also support statutory reporting, audit readiness, process improvements, and mentorship of junior staff, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and collaboration.
Responsibility
- Lead monthly close process and deliver timely, accurate management reports.
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and intercompany activities.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, bank reconciliations, and short-term forecasting.
- Prepare budgets, quarterly forecasts, and variance analyses with actionable recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS, Malaysian tax requirements, and local statutory filings.
- Coordinate internal and external audits; maintain robust internal controls and continuous process improvements.
- Support year-end closing, tax planning, and liaison with auditors and tax advisors.
- Mentor and develop junior finance staff; collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience, ideally in manufacturing/industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and Malaysian statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel; data analytics ability.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with tax compliance, audit coordination, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in English; Malay language skills are a plus.
