PSA Corporation is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Assistant Finance Manager/Deputy Finance Manager (FP&A) to join our dynamic finance team in the West Region of Singapore. This role is designed for a finance professional who can blend rigorous financial analysis with strategic business partnering to drive superior performance across the port and logistics operations.
As part of the FP&A function, you will lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, develop robust financial models, and provide insightful management reporting to senior leadership. You will collaborate with commercial, operations, and corporate teams to translate business plans into actionable financial plans, perform scenario analyses, monitor key performance indicators, and ensure timely, accurate financial information to support decision-making.
You will own the monthly close calendar for FP&A activities, maintain rolling forecasts, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement. You will also contribute to long-range planning and capital budgeting for strategic initiatives, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. We are looking for a candidate with a strong analytical mindset, advanced Excel skills, proficiency with ERP systems, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance or Accounting, professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA) preferred, and 5+ years of FP&A or related finance experience. Responsibility
- Lead FP&A processes including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and rolling projections to guide business decisions.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives and business cases.
- Prepare timely management reports, variance analyses, and KPI dashboards for senior management.
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to assess financial impact of operating and strategic choices.
- Collaborate with operations, commercial, and corporate teams to translate plans into financial targets and drive performance improvements.
- Monitor working capital, cash flow, and financial controls; support month-end close activities for FP&A.
- Contribute to long-term planning and capital budgeting, evaluating ROI and payback for major investments.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field; professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA) is preferred.
- 5+ years of FP&A or corporate finance experience; experience in manufacturing, logistics, or port-related sectors is a plus.
- Strong financial modeling skills, advanced Excel, and proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities; able to convey complex financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical thinking, time management, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of Singapore accounting standards and internal control concepts.
- Team player with the ability to influence and partner with cross-functional teams.
