Overview
Join Private Advertiser as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager and play a pivotal role in delivering the highest standards of cleanliness and guest comfort across a premium Singapore property. Based in Orchard within the Central Region, this full time leadership role supports the Housekeeping Department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service every day.
You will lead a team of housekeeping professionals, monitor daily workflows, and implement processes that maximize operational efficiency while safeguarding hygiene and safety compliance. Your hands on leadership, attention to detail, and guest service mindset will help us maintain pristine guest rooms, public areas, and back of house spaces, contributing to strong guest satisfaction scores and repeat visits.
As a key member of the hotel operations team, you will collaborate with Front Office, Maintenance and F&B to coordinate cleaning schedules, handle inventory, and manage equipment and supply inventory. Responsibility
- Lead and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure consistent service delivery across guest rooms, corridors and public areas.
- Ensure adherence to hotel cleanliness standards and brand guidelines through regular inspections and corrective training.
- Coordinate daily operations including scheduling, shift handovers, and workload planning to optimize staffing levels.
- Monitor inventory of linens, cleaning supplies and equipment; collaborate with purchasing to maintain stock levels and cost controls.
- Train, coach and develop team members on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and guest service excellence.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, infection control procedures and chemical handling guidelines.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering and F&B to support seamless guest experiences and timely responses to service requests.
- Act as deputy in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper to manage escalations and uphold service standards.
Qualification
- Minimum 3+ years experience in hotel housekeeping with supervisory responsibilities, preferably in a mid to upscale property.
- Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, sanitation, chemical handling, and equipment operation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and guest service skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and hospitality software; familiarity with a property management system is a plus.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Diploma or higher in Hospitality Management or a related field.
