Pilmico Foods Corporation is seeking an Associate Animal Nutritionist to support our swine program at the Capas, Tarlac facility. This role focuses on assisting the formulation and optimization of nutrition programs for swine, ensuring optimal growth, health, and feed efficiency while meeting safety, regulatory, and quality standards. The position offers hands-on experience in a modern feed mill environment and a clear pathway for professional growth within a leading food company.
As an Associate Nutritionist, you will work directly with the Senior Nutritionist and the formulation team to develop, validate, and implement rations based on ingredient availability, cost, and performance targets. You will collect and analyze production data, monitor feed mills, perform quality checks, and support data-driven adjustments to formulations to achieve consistent results across batches. You will liaison with operations, QA, procurement, and R&D to ensure formulations meet specifications and regulatory requirements, while contributing to ongoing improvement projects.
The role emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decision making, and rigorous application of nutrition science to real-world production. You will be accustomed to working in cross-functional teams, documenting findings, and communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibility
- Support the formulation of swine diets aligned with nutrition guidelines, ingredient supply, and cost targets.
- Assist in data collection and analysis from trials, production, and performance metrics to optimize feed formulations.
- Collaborate with the Senior Nutritionist to validate new formulations and conduct trial runs in the plant.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards (GMP, HACCP) in feed production.
- Maintain accurate records of formulations, ingredient specifications, and testing results.
- Monitor ingredient quality and perform routine checks during milling and batching.
- Provide technical support to production teams and respond to manufacturing inquiries.
- Prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Nutrition, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of swine nutrition, feed formulation principles, and ingredient evaluation.
- Experience or internship in a feed mill, farm, or animal nutrition setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis and spreadsheet skills (Excel); familiarity with formulation software is a plus.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and feed safety standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with a track record of documentation and problem-solving.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
