Tan Tock Seng Hospital invites expressions of interest for an Associate Executive to join the Medical Tower Planning & Development team on a contract basis. In this vital role, you will collaborate with clinical leaders, facilities and engineering professionals, and external partners to advance the hospital's Medical Tower expansion and modernization initiative. You will help shape project scope, clinical workflows, budgets, schedules, and governance processes to deliver high-quality, safe, and patient-centered outcomes. As a key member of the Development team, you will translate clinical requirements into implementable project plans, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, monitor progress, and ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards are met. The role requires proactive communication with stakeholders at all levels and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic hospital environment.

In this role you will leverage your analytical skills to assess space utilization, patient flow, and operational efficiency, ensuring that the Medical Tower supports high-quality clinical care and safety. You will participate in governance sessions, present options to leadership, and help steer decisions that balance clinical excellence with financial stewardship.

Responsibility

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing Medical Tower expansion and related development projects.
  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements in collaboration with clinical and facilities teams.
  • Prepare business cases, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and funding proposals.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants, vendors, and contractors; manage procurement and contract administration.
  • Monitor progress against milestones; track risks, issues, and mitigations; prepare regular progress reports for leadership and governance committees.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, building codes, safety standards, and infection control requirements.
  • Support governance processes, committees, and decision-making with clear documentation and presentations.
  • Facilitate effective communication across multidisciplinary teams to align clinical priorities with project delivery.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; professional certification in project management is preferred.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in healthcare facility planning, construction, or development projects; experience with hospital expansions is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of hospital operations, clinical workflows, and patient safety considerations.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and vendor contracts; experience with business cases and financial modelling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at presenting to executives and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and common software (MS Office, Excel).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities; capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
