As an Audit Associate, you will participate in planning, fieldwork, and documentation for external audit engagements. Responsibility
- Assist in planning and execution of external audit engagements for clients across industries in Malaysia.
- Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures, and audit sampling to obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence.
- Evaluate internal controls, identify control gaps, and document findings in working papers.
- Collect, organize, and corroborate client information; liaise with clients to resolve questions and obtain approvals.
- Prepare draft audit reports, financial statements, and management letters with clear, actionable recommendations.
- Support senior auditors in implementing risk assessment procedures and ensuring compliance with MFRS and auditing standards.
- Contribute to data analytics, benchmarking, and continuous improvement of audit processes.
- Maintain comprehensive and well-organized working papers and deliver engagements within agreed timelines.
Qualification
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; fresh graduates are welcome.
- Interest in or prior experience with external auditing and assurance services.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and auditing standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis; familiarity with data analytics tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Demonstrated time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English; Malay language proficiency is advantageous.
