Velocity Auto & Mechanical Services is seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our expanding team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles and equipment with precision, quality, and safety in mind.
As part of our automotive services team, you will work on routine maintenance, complex engine repairs, electrical systems, and performance enhancements. We value hands-on expertise, strong problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
What you’ll do: collaborate with teammates, follow safety protocols, maintain detailed service records, and continuously improve technical skills through ongoing training.
Responsibility
- Diagnose and repair mechanical systems in automobiles and light trucks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to maximize vehicle reliability and safety.
- Use diagnostic tools, schematics, and service literature to identify root causes.
- Repair or replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspensions.
- Document service work clearly, update work orders, and manage parts ordering when needed.
- Adhere to safety standards and environmental regulations in all tasks.
- Collaborate with teammates and communicate findings clearly to customers or supervisors.
Qualification
- 3+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience; ASE certification preferred.
- Proficiency with diagnostic scanners and multi-meter tools.
- Strong knowledge of engines, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
- Ability to read manuals, schematics, and repair procedures.
- Own basic set of mechanic tools and reliable transportation.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
