Responsibility
- Prepare and bake artisan breads, pastries, and seasonal items to spec and quality standards.
- Scale doughs, manage fermentation schedules, and monitor proofing times for consistency.
- Follow standardized recipes and maintain meticulous portion control.
- Operate and clean bakery equipment, including mixers, dividers, ovens, and proofing cabinets.
- Monitor inventory, rotate stock, and assist with supplier communication and ordering.
- Uphold food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines; maintain a clean, organized workstation.
- Collaborate with the pastry team on menu development and flavor innovation.
Qualification
- 2+ years of professional baking experience, preferably in artisan or bakery settings.
- Proficiency with sourdough, laminated doughs, croissant production, and pastry techniques.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, stand for long periods, and lift 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation; active food handler certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
