Responsibility
- Lead and supervise the bar during shifts, ensuring consistent, high-quality service and adherence to service standards.
- Manage beverage program operations, including spirits, wines, cigars, pricing, and upselling opportunities.
- Recruit, train, and mentor bar staff; schedule shifts and provide ongoing performance feedback.
- Monitor inventory, receive and rotate stock, control costs, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Ensure cash handling accuracy, POS operations, and end-of-day closing procedures.
- Build strong relationships with guests, especially high-net-worth clientele, delivering personalized recommendations and a memorable experience.
- Collaborate with restaurant and events teams to support private tastings, banquets, and special occasions.
Qualification
- Proven experience as a bar supervisor, assistant manager, or similar leadership role in a high-volume or luxury hospitality setting.
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, cigars, and cocktail trends; ability to coach staff on beverage service.
- Strong leadership, communication, and guest-relations skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; capable of supervising a team across shifts.
- Cash handling, POS familiarity, and basic inventory management; comfortable with closing procedures.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Relevant hospitality certifications or beverage training is a plus.
