We are seeking a passionate Barista to join Private Advertiser, a bustling café in Kuala Lumpur. As a Barista, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, crafting high-quality beverages while maintaining the café's welcoming atmosphere. Key responsibilities include preparing espresso-based drinks, brewing specialty coffee, steaming milk to the right texture, and presenting beverages with care. You will handle point-of-sale transactions, manage daily cash and card tips, and ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate displays excellent communication, a positive attitude, and a willingness to assist teammates during peak periods. Responsibility
- Greet customers, take orders, and deliver friendly, personalized service.
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and other beverages to standard recipes.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and milk frothers; ensure beverage consistency and equipment cleanliness.
- Manage point-of-sale transactions, handle cash and card payments, and balance the cash register.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in line with café policies.
- Restock counter items, manage inventory, rotate stock, and support opening/closing duties.
- Collaborate with team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods and events.
Qualification
- Previous barista or customer service experience is preferred, including entry-level candidates with strong service mindset.
- Knowledge of coffee beans, extraction, milk texture, and basic latte art.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact warmly with customers.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced cafe environment.
- Comfort with cash handling, POS systems, and basic math for transactions.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude.
