Vtsa International Inc. is seeking a proactive Barista in Ortigas, Metro Manila to join our growing hospitality team. In this role, you will craft a wide range of high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks such as latte, cappuccino, and americano, as well as teas and specialty beverages. You will maintain precise grind settings, monitor extraction times, textures, and presentation to ensure every cup meets our standards for taste and visual appeal. A welcoming, customer-first attitude is essential to deliver an exceptional cafe experience and foster repeat visits.
As a full-time Barista, you will be responsible for keeping equipment clean and well-maintained, managing inventory, and ensuring the workstation complies with health and safety guidelines. You will collaborate with the team to deliver fast, accurate service in a busy environment and continually deepen your knowledge of coffee origins, flavor profiles, and seasonal offerings to engage customers and upsell when appropriate.
Salary ranges from PHP 16,000 to PHP 18,000 per month, based on experience and performance. If you are passionate about coffee quality, guest satisfaction, and working in a dynamic Ortigas location, we want to hear from you.
Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based beverages, brewed coffee, teas, and other menu items to quality standards.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other cafe equipment; monitor shot times and adjust grind settings to ensure consistency.
- Maintain beverage presentation, texture, and temperature; ensure latte art where applicable.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation; adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor inventory and assist with stock replenishment, rotating stock to ensure freshness of beans, milk, syrups, and pastries.
- Provide warm, personalized customer service, take orders, handle payments, and process refunds or modifications where needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours and support upselling of featured drinks and seasonal offerings.
- Adhere to company policies and safety procedures; report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Qualification
- Previous barista experience preferred; entry-level candidates with a strong passion for coffee are welcome.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage customers with a friendly demeanor.
- Deep knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso extraction, milk texturing, and beverage presentation.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling; ability to balance cash drawer accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays; ability to work morning or evening shifts.
