Job description

BioNova Therapeutics is seeking a skilled Biotech Scientist to join our dynamic R&D team in Boston. We develop next-generation therapies leveraging cutting-edge gene editing and protein engineering. Responsibility

  • Design and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments to validate therapeutic targets and pathways.
  • Plan and perform molecular biology workflows including cloning, PCR, sequencing, and expression analysis.
  • Analyze data using statistical methods and generate actionable insights to inform development decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CMO, Regulatory, QA/QC, and Clinical Operations to align on development plans.
  • Maintain accurate lab records, SOPs, and ensure compliance with GLP/GMP standards as applicable.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and contribute to manuscript and grant support.
  • Contribute to IP strategy through documentation of novel findings and invention disclosures.

Qualification

  • Master's or PhD in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioengineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of molecular biology, cell culture, and analytical assay development in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (R, Python, or MATLAB) and experience with LIMS and electronic lab notebooks.
  • Experience with gene editing technologies (CRISPR/Cas) and protein engineering is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present data clearly to cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.
