Join InnovateBio Labs, a pioneering biotechnology company focused on translational research in cell therapy and gene editing. We are seeking a Senior Research Scientist to lead high-impact projects from ideation through early development.
In this role, you will design, execute, and interpret experiments, mentor junior scientists, manage cross-functional teams, and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders. A strong background in molecular biology, cell culture, and data-driven decision making is essential.
Responsibility
- Design and execute complex in vitro and ex vivo experiments to advance product candidates.
- Lead and mentor a team of scientists, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
- Develop and optimize protocols for cell culture, gene editing, and analytical assays (qPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry).
- Analyze data using statistical tools; translate findings into actionable project plans.
- Collaborate with translational, regulatory, and manufacturing teams to ensure GLP/GMP compliance.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and manuscript drafts for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage project timelines, milestones, and resource planning; drive risk mitigation.
- Represent the team in cross-functional meetings with partners and vendors.
Qualification
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a closely related field; or MS with 5+ years of industry experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in biotechnology settings, with a focus on cell culture and/or CRISPR-based approaches.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (qPCR, RT-qPCR, cloning), and analytical assays (ELISA, Western blot, flow cytometry).
- Strong data analysis skills using Python, R, or similar; ability to draw insights from complex datasets.
- Experience with GLP/GMP environments and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; demonstrated ability to prepare reports, presentations, and grant-friendly proposals.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to lead projects to completion.
- Publication track record or patents in biotechnology is a plus.
