Responsibility

  • Manage daily bookkeeping for multiple Australian clients, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable and reconcile bank statements using cloud accounting software like Xero or MYOB.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Assist with BAS, GST and other tax compliance requirements for Australian entities.
  • Support end-of-year audits by organizing and providing requested financial data.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure records are organized and secure.
  • Collaborate with accountants and team members to resolve discrepancies and deliver top-tier client service.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and stay updated on Australian bookkeeping best practices.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably servicing Australian clients or within a public practice environment.
  • Proficient in cloud accounting platforms such as Xero and/or MYOB.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian accounting principles, BAS, and GST compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills—both written and verbal—in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
