As a Buyer, you will manage end-to-end procurement for direct and indirect materials, collaborate with engineering, production planning, and quality teams, and drive cost savings while maintaining compliance with company policies and local regulations. You will work with local and international suppliers, issue RFQs, evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and administer purchase orders. You will monitor delivery performance, handle supplier risk, and support inventory control to prevent shortages or excess stock. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable purchasing plans.

Responsibility
- Manage end-to-end procurement for direct and indirect materials used in manufacturing operations.
- Source, qualify, and select suppliers; issue RFQs, evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and issue purchase orders.
- Collaborate with engineering, production planning, and quality teams to ensure timely material availability and alignment with production schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and cost, and drive continuous improvement actions.
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, volume leveraging, and value engineering where applicable.
- Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP systems, monitor inventory levels, and manage supplier risk and compliance.
- Coordinate with logistics and import teams to ensure smooth inbound shipments and customs compliance.
- Prepare reports on procurement KPIs and present recommendations to management.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of buying or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of the local Indonesian supplier market, and familiarity with import/export processes and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia; strong cross-functional collaboration abilities.
