Private Advertiser is seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Foreman to join our manufacturing operations in Surabaya, East Java. In this contract role, you will lead the maintenance of production machinery and equipment to ensure reliable performance, maximize uptime, and uphold the highest safety standards.
As the Operator Maintenance and Foreman, you will be responsible for routine maintenance, equipment condition monitoring, and timely repairs. You will plan and oversee preventive maintenance schedules, respond to equipment faults, and coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime. You will also supervise a small maintenance team, assign tasks, verify workmanship, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Your duties include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, ordering spare parts, and maintaining accurate maintenance records in the CMMS. You will analyze equipment performance data, implement improvements, and participate in root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence of problems. The role requires strong communication with cross-functional teams and a hands-on approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibility
- Lead daily maintenance activities for production lines and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Plan and supervise preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and safety teams to minimize disruption and uphold safety standards.
- Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and verify workmanship; maintain accurate records in CMMS.
- Manage spare parts inventory, order parts, and track maintenance KPIs (uptime, MTTR, MTBF).
- Supervise and develop a maintenance team, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality of work.
- Analyze equipment performance data, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and participate in root-cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
Qualification
- Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems; ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment.
- Familiarity with CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo) and fault-finding methodologies.
- Ability to read schematics, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical diagrams; proficient in problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
- Excellent communication, planning, and team-management skills; fluent in Indonesian; English proficiency a plus.
- Willingness to work on-site in Surabaya and adapt to shift schedules; safety-conscious and quality-focused.
