Responsibility
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer requests and BreadTalk’s signature styles.
- Prepare a wide range of cake fillings, frostings, and decorative elements using various techniques.
- Ensure that all cakes meet high standards of appearance, taste, and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, equipment, and tools.
- Assist with inventory management of decorating supplies and ingredients.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill bulk and custom orders efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date with cake trends, decorating methods, and safety standards.
- Uphold hygiene and safety regulations throughout all processes.
Qualification
- At least 1 year of experience as a Cake Decorator or in a similar baking/pastry role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise with cake designs, fondant, buttercream, and piping techniques.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for artistic presentation.
- Creativity and passion for developing new cake concepts and themes.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when required.
- Culinary or baking certification is a plus, but not required.
