Join Private Advertiser as Chief Financial Officer and lead the finance function in Kuala Lumpur. In this strategic leadership role, you will partner with the CEO and the board to shape the company’s financial vision, capital structure, and long-term plan. You will drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management across all business units. You will oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. You will manage treasury, working capital, and liquidity to support growth, while optimizing cost of capital and return on investment. You will provide data-driven insights to support strategic decisions on expansion, M&A, and financing options. You will lead risk management, tax planning, and regulatory compliance, including statutory filings and audit processes. You will cultivate strong relationships with banks, auditors, regulators, and investors, and you will communicate financial results and strategy clearly to the board and key stakeholders. You will build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Responsibility
- Provide strategic financial leadership and collaborate with the CEO and board to define long-term financial goals and growth strategies.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to align with corporate strategy and performance targets.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of timely, accurate financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP; manage internal controls and audit readiness.
- Manage treasury and cash flow, capital structure, liquidity management, and working capital optimization.
- Direct financial risk management, tax planning, compliance, and regulatory reporting across Malaysia operations.
- Drive strategic initiatives including mergers, acquisitions, financing options, and partnerships; provide data-driven analyses for decision-making.
- Lead and develop the finance team; foster a culture of integrity, high performance, and continuous improvement; partner with other functions to enable strategic execution.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, regulators, investors; communicate financial results and strategic priorities to the board and stakeholders.
Qualification
- Extensive experience in senior financial leadership (CFO or equivalent) with a track record of 10+ years in corporate finance, preferably in private sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, taxation, regulatory compliance; experience with statutory reporting and audits.
- Proven ability to lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis; experience with M&A and capital raises is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and financial analytics; proficient in data-driven decision making.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management; ability to present to the board and manage investor relations; bilingual in English and Malay is advantageous.
- Relevant professional qualifications (CA/CPA/ACCA/CFA) and bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Strong integrity, business ethics, risk awareness, and a collaborative, results-oriented mindset.
