Private Advertiser is seeking a compassionate and dependable Childcare Cook for a part-time position in Singapore. The successful candidate will prepare nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks for children in our care, while upholding the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and kitchen organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids and understands the importance of balanced nutrition in early childhood development.
As our Childcare Cook, you will collaborate with educators and caregivers to plan menus that meet dietary requirements, accommodate allergies, and adapt to seasonal ingredients. You will maintain a clean and orderly kitchen, practice strict food safety and hygiene standards, and ensure accurate record-keeping for meal preparation and inventory. Your day-to-day activities will include cooking, portioning meals, labeling and storing leftovers, and assisting with snack service in a warm, child-friendly environment.

Responsibility
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in care, following menu plans and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure meals meet age-appropriate portions and nutritional requirements.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards, including cleaning schedules and sanitization.
- Monitor and manage inventory; assist with ingredient ordering and stock rotation.
- Adhere to allergen and special-diet protocols; communicate clearly with caregivers about ingredients.
- Serve meals and supervise snack times, encouraging healthy eating habits.
- Document daily meal logs, temperature checks, and any dietary or food safety incidents.
- Collaborate with educators to support daily routines and developmental needs.
Qualification
- Basic cooking experience; experience in childcare or school setting preferred.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards; food handler certificate is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced childcare environment with patience and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion controls, and proper labeling procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; reliable and punctual.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization, with a commitment to safe food handling.
