Job description

Join Nityo Infotech as a Civil Maintenance Manager for a polyester-focused chemical manufacturing plant. This leadership role drives the reliability and safety of critical plant assets while supporting production targets in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee maintenance strategy, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, and lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver world-class uptime and asset performance.

In this role, you will partner with Production, Engineering, and Safety teams to optimize processes, manage maintenance budgets, and drive continuous improvement across mechanical, electrical, and civil systems. You will champion data-driven decision-making using CMMS to track asset health, plan downtime, and execute capital projects efficiently. If you have a proven track record in chemical manufacturing and a passion for reliability, this is an exceptional opportunity to impact both safety and productivity at scale.

We are seeking a proactive, results-oriented leader who can translate complex technical concepts into practical actions, mentor talent, and foster a collaborative plant culture focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibility

  • Lead the maintenance strategy for the polyester manufacturing plant, ensuring asset reliability and high uptime.
  • Manage a multi-disciplinary maintenance team, assign work, and cultivate a safe, collaborative working environment.
  • Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, and civil assets.
  • Plan and control annual maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and procurement with vendors and contractors.
  • Oversee major maintenance projects and plant shutdowns, delivering on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Safety teams to optimize processes and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards (OSHA, ISO 45001) and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (MTBF, MTTR, maintenance costs, inventory levels) to drive continuous improvement.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 5-8+ years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment; chemical/polyester sector preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, IBM Maximo) and reliability-centered maintenance concepts.
  • Good understanding of safety and environmental regulations; familiarity with ISO 45001 and related standards.
  • Budgeting, cost control, and vendor management experience; ability to negotiate and manage contracts.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify root causes, and implement sustainable improvements.
