Join ScienTec Consulting as a Cloud Security Analyst and help design, implement, and maintain robust cloud security strategies for our clients. This role centers on securing applications and data in AWS environments and containerized workloads powered by Kubernetes. You will translate security requirements into scalable controls, automate protections, and support secure cloud migrations across enterprise projects.
You will collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and security teammates to build security-by-design architectures, manage identity and access controls, and strengthen network and data protection. Responsibilities include implementing secure CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, threat detection, and incident response, as well as governance, risk assessment, and continuous improvement of security baselines.

Responsibility
- Design and build secure cloud architectures on AWS and containerized environments using Kubernetes, applying security by design and best practices.
- Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM), keys, encryption, and key management systems to protect data at rest and in transit.
- Develop and enforce secure CI/CD pipelines with automated security checks, image scanning, and vulnerability management.
- Configure network security in the cloud, including VPC design, security groups, NACLs, WAF, and zero-trust concepts.
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using native and third-party tools; perform threat modeling and root-cause analysis.
- Conduct periodic cloud security assessments, implement governance controls, and maintain security baselines and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with DevOps, platform engineering, and clients to remediate findings and drive secure cloud migrations.
- Stay current with cloud security trends and lead security hardening initiatives across multiple projects.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field; professional security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty) are a plus.
- Hands-on experience designing and securing AWS cloud environments, with strong knowledge of IAM, KMS, encryption, and key management.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes security, container security best practices, and secure cluster hardening.
- Proficiency with security monitoring and logging tools (CloudTrail, GuardDuty, AWS Config, WAF, SIEM experience).
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash) and IaC experience (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Understanding of compliance standards and governance requirements relevant to cloud operations (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) and ability to document controls.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
- 2-5+ years of cloud security experience; Singapore market experience is a plus.
