LuxeGlow Beauty Collective is seeking a talented Contract Makeup Artist to join our dynamic Los Angeles team for on-set, bridal, and editorial projects. You will deliver high-end makeup looks with a focus on skin health, color harmony, and long-lasting wear while collaborating with photographers, stylists, and clients. Responsibility
- Collaborate with clients and creative teams to interpret vision and design makeup looks for shoots, weddings, and events.
- Perform flawless makeup applications across beauty, bridal, editorial, and on-set environments with speed and precision.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards and manage kit hygiene per industry guidelines.
- Consult with clients on skin, tone matching, longevity, and product selection; provide tailored recommendations.
- Adapt looks for lighting changes and wardrobe requirements during shoots or events.
- Maintain professionalism on set, adhere to schedules, and coordinate with photographers and hair stylists.
- Manage inventory, organize and sanitize kit, and prepare for upcoming bookings.
- Foster lasting client relationships to drive repeat bookings and referrals.
Qualification
- Proven makeup artistry experience with a strong portfolio across bridal, editorial, film, or television; minimum 3 years preferred.
- Proficiency in diverse makeup styles including beauty, contour, airbrush, and pro-level techniques; ability to adapt to camera lighting.
- Relevant cosmetology or makeup artistry certification; solid knowledge of sanitation and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and client consultation skills; ability to take direction and translate concepts into looks.
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and ability to work under tight production timelines.
- Willingness to travel within the greater Los Angeles area and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Positive attitude, reliability, discretion, and a collaborative team mindset on set.
- Robust portfolio and product knowledge; responsible kit management.
