Join our kitchen team in Bali as a Cook/Commis 1. We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to deliver high-quality foods with consistency and precision in a dynamic hospitality environment. As a member of the Private Advertiser kitchen crew, you will support the Head Chef in daily operations, contribute to mise en place, and ensure safety and hygiene standards are met at all times. In this role you will work across stations, helping to prepare ingredients, sauces, and garnishes, and ensuring all dishes are plated to spec. You will maintain meticulous mise en place, rotate stock, and monitor freshness and ordering needs to support smooth service. You will assist with cooking methods, portion control, and quality checks to ensure consistency across all meals.

Responsibility
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring dishes meet quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Maintain meticulous mise en place for all prep stations; manage inventory, rotate stock, and keep stations organized.
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, marinades, and garnishes according to established recipes and portion controls.
- Assist across cooking stations (hot, cold, grill) as needed and adapt to busy service periods.
- Monitor food quality and plating; adjust seasonings and presentation to maintain uniformity.
- Uphold strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices; ensure proper temperature control and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely, smooth service and effective communication of any issues.
Qualification
- Experience as a Cook or Commis in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred, with a willingness to learn.
- Solid knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and safe food handling.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work under pressure during peak periods.
- Understanding of food safety, HACCP principles, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to read and follow recipes and guidelines; excellent team player with clear communication.
- Flexible mindset with a positive attitude and a readiness to adapt to changing menus and responsibilities.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
