As a Cook, you will be responsible for meal preparation, daily mise en place, and cooking techniques across a range of dishes. You will follow standardized recipes, ensure portion control, monitor cooking times and temperatures, and maintain clean and organized workstation. The ideal candidate is passionate about cooking, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in a team oriented environment. Responsibility
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and portion controls.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Prepare mise en place, monitor inventory, and assist with stocking and rotation of ingredients.
- Operate and monitor kitchen equipment safely, report malfunctions, and ensure proper maintenance.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure quality and consistency across all dishes.
- Coordinate with team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Adhere to company policies, including allergen handling, waste reduction, and sanitation practices.
- Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to menu changes and new cooking techniques as needed.
Qualification
- Proven experience as a cook in a fast casual or fast food environment.
- Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.
- Ability to read and follow recipes and portion controls accurately.
- Strong time management, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and work in a hot kitchen.
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills.
- Flexible, coachable, and eager to learn new cooking techniques.
