Amertron is seeking a proactive Cost Analyst to join our finance team in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga. In this role, you will analyze and control manufacturing and operating costs, helping the company improve profitability and strategic decision making. You will be responsible for collecting cost data from multiple sources, maintaining standard cost records, and performing variance analyses to explain deviations from budget and forecasts. The Cost Analyst will partner with procurement, production, and accounting teams to drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize materials, labor, and overhead expenses. Key activities include preparing monthly cost reports, supporting the annual budgeting process, and maintaining cost allocations across departments. You will monitor cost drivers, perform trend analyses, and provide actionable insights to management to support pricing, sourcing, and process improvements. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non finance stakeholders. Responsibility
- Collect and analyze cost data from multiple sources to identify trends, savings opportunities, and cost drivers across materials, labor, and overhead.
- Maintain and reconcile standard cost records, bills of materials, and cost components to ensure accurate cost reporting.
- Perform variance analysis comparing actuals to budgets and forecasts, explaining deviations and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and finance teams to optimize supplier pricing, negotiations, and sourcing strategies.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports, dashboards, and management summaries for decision makers.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including long-range cost planning and scenario analysis.
- Assist in implementing cost control initiatives, track realized savings, and measure ROI of process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, cost accounting policies, and data integrity across finance systems.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a cost analyst or in a similar cost accounting role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Experience with ERP systems and cost management modules (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, budgeting, and cost-volume-profit analysis.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CMA) are a plus.
