Responsibility

  • Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, and sterilization of surgical instruments in accordance with CSSD protocols.

  • Assemble instrument trays, wrap sets, label packages, and ensure correct packaging standards for safe handling and delivery to operating theatres.
  • Manage sterile storage, stock control, and timely delivery to surgical teams; coordinate with nurses and surgeons to support theatre schedules.
  • Adhere to infection control guidelines, aseptic technique, and safety regulations; participate in quality assurance audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks, report equipment faults, and support CSSD housekeeping to uphold a clean and organized department.
  • Assist with inventory management, waste disposal, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualification

  • Diploma or Certificate in Sterilization Services, Healthcare Support, or related field; or equivalent practical experience in a healthcare setting.
