We are seeking a Curation Specialist to lead editorial curation across categories, aligning with product, editorial, and data teams to deliver delightful, engaging experiences. You will translate audience insights into curated collections, develop taxonomy and tagging guidelines, and collaborate with partners to surface high-quality content that resonates with users. Responsibility
- Define and execute the editorial curation strategy across platform categories to maximize engagement and retention.
- Source, evaluate, and prioritize high-potential content and creators; maintain quality and relevance across all collections.
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to implement tagging, taxonomy, and personalized recommendation systems.
- Monitor performance metrics (CTR, dwell time, engagement) and iterate based on insights and A/B test results.
- Develop and enforce content governance guidelines, standards, and style guides to ensure consistency and accessibility.
- Manage relationships with external partners and creators; negotiate licensing and rights where applicable.
- Curate themed experiences (playlists, collections, editorials) to drive onboarding, retention, and cross-platform discovery.
- Lead ongoing experimentation in content discovery, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize user journeys.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, information science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in content curation, editorial strategy, or product content within digital platforms.
- Strong understanding of taxonomy, metadata, tagging, and SEO best practices.
- Proficiency with CMS platforms (Contentful, WordPress) and analytics tools (GA4, Mixpanel, or similar).
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, and partnerships teams; excellent communication and collaboration.
- Data-driven mindset with experience conducting experiments and acting on insights to improve engagement.
- Familiarity with licensing, rights management, and partner relationship management is a plus.
