Responsibility
- Monitor and analyze security events, logs, and alerts from SIEM and other monitoring tools to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the design, deployment, and maintenance of security controls across networks, endpoints, and cloud services.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with IT teams to reduce risk exposure.
- Support incident response activities, preserve evidence, and help restore normal operations after security incidents.
- Assist in security policy development, risk assessments, and compliance efforts (e.g., data privacy, regulatory requirements).
- Participate in security awareness training and promote secure coding practices among development teams.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in cyber security, threat analysis, and incident response.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint protection solutions.
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure configuration baselines.
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts (Azure, AWS, GCP) and basic risk assessment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to work independently in a part-time schedule.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus.
