As a Data Scientist at MBVA 24-7, you will be at the heart of our analytics practice. You will partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. You will design and test predictive models, perform rigorous exploratory data analysis, and craft data-driven recommendations that influence product strategy, customer experience, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is curious, methodical, and comfortable communicating with stakeholders across technical and non-technical backgrounds. Key focus areas include developing predictive models, conducting rigorous A/B testing, maintaining data quality, and delivering dashboards and reports that empower teams to act quickly and confidently.
Responsibility
- Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models to support business decisions across product, marketing, and operations.
- Perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis on large, complex datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines, models, and dashboards, ensuring data quality and reproducibility.
- Communicate insights clearly through data visualizations and storytelling for non-technical stakeholders.
- Monitor model performance, address drift, and iterate to improve accuracy and impact.
- Document methodologies, experiments, and results; participate in knowledge sharing and best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytics role.
- Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL for data manipulation and modeling.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of statistics, experimental design, and machine learning fundamentals.
- Ability to select appropriate models and evaluation metrics; experience with experimentation (A/B testing) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and ability to explain complex results to non-technical stakeholders; remote-friendly self-starter with strong time management.
