Responsibility
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control standards.
- Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures and assist the dentist with instrumentation and suction.
- Greet and prepare patients, explain procedures, and support them to feel comfortable during each visit.
- Document patient records, manage appointment scheduling, and ensure smooth patient flow in the clinic.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and manage sterilization equipment and instrument reprocessing.
- Uphold safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring standard precautions are followed at all times.
- Support administrative tasks as needed, including basic lab tasks and coordinating referrals.
Qualification
- Certificate or Diploma in Dental Assisting or related healthcare qualification.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of infection control, sterilization protocols and dental operatory procedures.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills, with the ability to reassure patients and families.
- Team player who can perform well in a fast paced hospital setting and manage multiple tasks.
- Computer literacy and experience maintaining patient records and appointment schedules.
- Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
