KLINIK PERGIGIAN CHUN is seeking a dedicated Dental Surgery Assistant (DSA) to join our compassionate dental team in Shah Alam, Selangor. This role offers hands-on experience in a busy clinic and a clear path for career growth within a trusted local practice.
As a Dental Surgery Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure pristine infection control. You will help patients feel at ease, explain routine steps, and coordinate with the team to maintain smooth patient flow. The position includes sterilization of instruments, assistance with radiographs under supervision, and careful record-keeping to support high-quality care. Responsibility
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, including exams, fillings, and minor treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, arrange instruments, and ensure sterilization and infection control protocols are followed.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment after each patient in accordance with safety standards.
- Support patient comfort by explaining procedures, addressing questions, and coordinating appointment flow.
- Assist with radiographic imaging and basic patient positioning under supervision while prioritizing radiation safety.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling, billing support, and inventory management.
- Monitor supply levels, restock materials, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Collaborate with dentists and hygienists to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care and a positive clinic experience.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant dental assisting certification is a plus.
- Strong interest in dental health and patient care with a commitment to learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to reassure patients and work well in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform routine clinical tasks.
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive with a collaborative mindset.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with dental practice management software is beneficial.
- Willingness to undergo ongoing training and professional development.
