Responsibility

  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments, materials, and sterilization are ready before procedures.
  • Provide chairside assistance to dentists during examinations, restorative work, and minor surgeries.
  • Support patient comfort by proper positioning, suction, and clear post-procedure instructions.
  • Maintain strict infection control and sterilization processes, including instrument processing and inventory management.
  • Document treatment notes and assist with patient intake, scheduling, and record-keeping.
  • Assist with imaging or radiographs as permitted, and handle equipment safely.
  • Ensure smooth clinic operations by managing supplies, prep, and coordination with the clinical team.

Qualification

  • Diploma or certificate in dental assisting or a related field; relevant experience is welcomed.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments, operatory setup, and patient positioning.
  • Understanding of sterilisation, infection control, and hygiene standards in a clinic setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to reassure and engage with patients.
