Bright Futures Foundation is a mission-driven nonprofit focused on providing educational resources to underrepresented youth in New York City. We are seeking a results-oriented Development Manager to lead fundraising initiatives and donor relations.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Executive Director, cultivate major gifts, manage campaigns, and build data-driven fundraising strategies to advance our programs.
Responsibility
- Develop and execute the annual fundraising plan to meet revenue goals
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors and foundations
- Plan and manage donor events and campaigns
- Oversee grant research and writing processes; track reporting deadlines
- Maintain donor database accuracy and produce fundraising analytics
- Collaborate with program teams to align fundraising with impact
- Develop donor communications and annual report content
- Lead stewardship and recognition programs for supporters
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, marketing, or related field
- 3+ years of fundraising or development experience in nonprofits
- Proven track record in major gifts and grant management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong data analysis and CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce or similar)
- Highly organized with strong project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and committees
- Commitment to mission and knowledge of NYC philanthropic landscape
