Join NovaCloud Solutions GmbH, a fast-growing Berlin-based tech company, as a DevOps Engineer. You will design, implement, and scale robust infrastructure powering our SaaS platform. This role emphasizes automation, reliability, and security across all environments.
\nAs part of our Platform team, you will partner with product and engineering to deliver high-velocity deployments with minimal friction while maintaining strong security and compliance standards. You will have the opportunity to influence our tech stack and roadmap.
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins) to accelerate delivery without compromising quality.
- Architect and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Orchestrate containerized services using Kubernetes; manage Helm charts and cluster lifecycle.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes; drive proactive maintenance and automation.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/CloudWatch) for reliable observability and incident response.
- Enforce security best practices, cost optimization, and compliance across all environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment reliability and performance; participate in on-call rotations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience in a cloud-focused environment.
- Strong experience with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS) or equivalent cloud provider; expertise in Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker; experience with Helm and service meshes is a plus.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or similar); strong problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/CloudWatch) and incident management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; fluent in English (German a plus).
