Join NovaCloud Systems as a hands-on DevOps Engineer in Austin, TX. You will architect and operate scalable infrastructure, drive automation, and champion reliability across multi-cloud environments. What you’ll do: build out CI/CD pipelines, automate provisioning, monitor and optimize systems, and partner with development teams to ship software faster with safety and observable systems.
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines across platforms and environments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
- Architect and manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes and Docker, ensuring high availability and security.
- Develop robust monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK) to improve reliability and MTTR.
- Collaborate with software engineers and security teams to ensure compliant, observable, and auditable systems.
- Improve deployment speed and quality through automation, testing, and blue/green or canary rollout strategies.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement.
Qualification
- 5+ years of DevOps or SRE experience in cloud-native environments.
- Strong expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP and related services (compute, storage, networking).
- Proficient with container orchestrations (Kubernetes) and containerization (Docker).
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation scripting (Python, Bash).
- Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, source control, and automation testing.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and incident response tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
