NovaBridge Communications is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Public Relations to lead high-impact campaigns for a diverse client roster. Based in New York City, this role blends earned media, corporate branding, and executive communications to shape public perception and drive business growth. You will mentor a growing team, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and own the PR blueprint from concept to measurement.
In this role, you will elevate brand narratives, steer proactive media outreach, and build trusted relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry analysts.
Responsibility
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that align with business goals and brand positioning.
- Lead media relations efforts, secure top-tier coverage across national and trade outlets, and manage day-to-day press outreach.
- Manage crisis communications, rapid response messaging, and executive positioning during incidents.
- Oversee earned media events, briefings, and spokesperson training; coordinate with marketing and digital teams.
- Mentor and grow a high-performing PR team; set KPIs; oversee agency partnerships.
- Measure impact with earned media analytics, dashboards, and reports; optimize for ROI.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field; master's preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in public relations, with a track record of securing national media coverage.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities; experience producing press releases, pitches, and briefing materials.
- Experience handling crisis communications and reputation management at scale.
- Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Deep knowledge of media landscape, influencer relations, and newsroom dynamics; proficiency with PR software is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid/remote environment.
