As our DW Cook, you will play a pivotal role in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining mise en place, and ensuring strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. Responsibility
- Prepare and cook menu items to MiA Restaurant standards, ensuring consistency and plate presentation
- Maintain mise en place and keep the kitchen organized and clean
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and sanitation according to local regulations
- Monitor inventory and assist with stock control, waste reduction, and ordering
- Collaborate with head chef and kitchen team to optimize workflow and menu execution
- Assist with menu development, seasonal specials, and recipe testing
- Ensure equipment and facilities are well-maintained and report any issues
- Support service staff during peak hours to ensure timely meal preparation
Qualification
- Formal culinary training or relevant certificate/diploma
- Minimum 1+ year of professional cooking experience in a busy kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Excellent knife skills and knowledge of cooking techniques
- Team player with good communication and reliability; flexible with shifts
- Proficiency in English; Indonesian language is a plus
