As an EMT Transport Officer, you will be the critical link between prehospital care and hospital-based treatment. Your responsibilities include rapid patient assessment, stabilization, and monitoring during transport; effective utilization of basic life support techniques; safe patient loading and unloading; operation and maintenance of emergency transport equipment; and seamless communication with receiving facilities to ensure timely and accurate handoffs. You will also be responsible for documenting all interventions and transport details and for adhering to infection control, safety, and privacy standards. Responsibility
- Safely transport patients between clinics and hospitals while delivering essential emergency medical care
- Perform initial patient assessment, monitor vital signs, and provide basic life support during transport
- Stabilize patients using appropriate EMS protocols and ensure proper immobilization and safety
- Operate and maintain EMS equipment and medically equipped transport vehicle
- Communicate clearly with receiving facilities and dispatch, documenting interventions and transport details
- Ensure infection control, patient privacy, and adherence to safety procedures
- Complete all required charts and electronic medical records accurately and promptly
- Coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure smooth patient handoffs
Qualification
- Current EMT certification or higher from an accredited EMS program
- Valid Philippine driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of experience in EMS transport or related field
- First Aid and CPR certification (BLS) and ability to perform basic life support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move patients as needed
