MR.DIY, a leading home improvement retailer in Malaysia, is expanding rapidly across Klang Valley and beyond. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Malaysian to join our Finance team as an Executive, Account Payable. This role supports the group procurement and supplier payment processes, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant handling of invoices, queries and reconciliations. You will partner closely with stores, regional offices and suppliers to streamline accounts payable workflows and deliver reliable financial reporting.
In this role you will own end to end accounts payable processes including invoice processing, vendor setup, reconciliations, payment runs and month end close support. You will contribute to process improvements, maintain strong internal controls, and collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve discrepancies quickly. Responsibility
- Process supplier invoices accurately and timely in the accounts payable system
- Verify vendor details and maintain up to date vendor master data
- Prepare and execute monthly payment runs in accordance with approved terms
- Reconcile accounts payable ledger with supplier statements and assist in month end close
- Respond to supplier inquiries and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Support internal controls and audit requirements through documentation and process improvement
Qualification
- Diploma or degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in accounts payable or shared services
- Strong knowledge of invoice processing, supplier onboarding and MS Excel
- Experience with ERP systems and vendor master data management
- Basic understanding of GST/VAT and financial controls
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills with high attention to detail
