Job description
Samsung is seeking an ambitious Executive, Accounts Receivable to join our dynamic Finance team in Malaysia. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end AR activities, ensuring timely cash collections, accurate invoicing, and smooth month-end close. You will work closely with sales, order management, and shared services to optimize the order-to-cash cycle, support forecasts, and provide actionable data to business leaders.
Key tasks include processing customer invoices, applying payments, reconciling customer accounts, maintaining clean receivable records, and resolving disputes efficiently. You will monitor AR aging, identify high-risk accounts, and implement process improvements that reduce days sales outstanding (DSO) while safeguarding internal controls. You will also assist with month-end close activities, prepare reconciliations, and contribute to audits and compliance activities.

Responsibility
- Manage end-to-end accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment application, and cash posting
- Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging; identify and resolve overdue balances
- Coordinate with sales and order management to ensure accurate order-to-cash cycles
- Prepare and reconcile monthly AR reconciliations and support month-end close activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve disputes and minimize write-offs
- Maintain accurate customer master data and documentation for audit readiness
- Assist with internal and external audits; support process improvements and controls
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 2-4 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in a multinational environment
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite) and MS Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Malay is a plus; ability to work cross-functionally
