Join Kenanga Investment Bank as an Executive in Operations & Clearing Services for Listed Derivatives. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate trade give-up and take-up with external brokers, ensuring timely settlement, accurate position reporting, and robust operational controls that support the bank’s trading activities across the derivatives landscape.
You will work closely with the Trading Desk, Clearing Members, and external counterparties to ensure straight-through processing (STP) and compliance with internal risk policies and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will oversee the lifecycle of listed derivatives trades from capture to settlement, monitor exception handling, and maintain precise records that enable effective risk management and audit readiness.
As part of our operations team, you will contribute to process improvements, participate in system enhancements, and respond promptly to settlement inquiries and clearing-related incidents. The role offers exposure to Bursa Malaysia Derivatives market practices, clearing house interfaces, and broker relationships, with opportunities for professional growth in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Responsibility
- Coordinate trade give-up and take-up with external brokers for listed derivatives to ensure accurate trade capture and timely settlement.
- Monitor clearing and settlement workflows with Clearing Members and the Clearing House to maintain straight-through processing (STP).
- Maintain accurate trade records, trade confirmations, and position reporting; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with Traders, Compliance, and Risk Management to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Provide timely responses to broker inquiries and support during trade lifecycle events and settlement cycles.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency, system enhancements, and process documentation.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing data, reports, and evidence of controls.
- Build strong working relationships with brokers, custodians, and counterparties to facilitate smooth operations.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience in derivatives operations, clearing, settlement, or related financial services roles.
- Solid knowledge of listed derivatives products and clearing processes with exposure to clearing houses and brokers.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; proficient in MS Excel and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities; capable of working with internal teams and external counterparties.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy, controls, and regulatory compliance (e.g., market conduct, reporting).
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines from Bursa Malaysia Derivatives and related governance is a plus.
