Kenanga Investment Bank invites a dynamic Associate or Senior Associate to join its Global Markets team in Kuala Lumpur. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring trade accuracy, upholding regulatory compliance, and safeguarding market integrity while supporting both clients and the business. You will gain exposure to dealing activities across global markets and listed derivatives, delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

As a key contributor to dealing operations, you will oversee trade capture, lifecycle events, and settlement processes. You will work closely with front office traders, product specialists, and operations to verify trade details, facilitate timely confirmations, and resolve issues promptly. Your responsibilities include maintaining robust pre-trade and post-trade controls, performing reconciliations, and supporting risk management and control frameworks to sustain the highest standards of compliance and accuracy.

In addition, you will monitor market integrity, regulatory requirements, and surveillance standards, while assisting in documentation, reporting, and audit readiness. The role involves collaborating with multiple stakeholders to implement process improvements, support new product initiatives, and scale capabilities in a dynamic market. Responsibility

  • Ensure accurate trade capture, confirmation, and lifecycle management for global markets and listed derivatives.
  • Resolve trade breaks promptly by coordinating with trading desks, operations, and counterparties.
  • Support pre-trade and post-trade risk controls, reconciliations, and settlement processes.
  • Monitor market integrity, regulatory compliance, and surveillance requirements; assist in internal controls and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with front-office, risk, compliance, and product teams to implement process improvements and new product initiatives.
  • Prepare and review reports for stakeholders and regulators; maintain meticulous documentation and trade records.
  • Assist with client onboarding, documentation, and timely trade confirmations; ensure high-quality client experience.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field; professional designation is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in global markets, dealing, or derivatives operations; experience with listed derivatives preferred.
  • Solid understanding of trade life cycle, post-trade processes, and risk/compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills, numerical proficiency, and attention to detail; proficient in Excel; knowledge of trading systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work with cross-functional teams, and maintain data accuracy.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of local language is a plus; understanding of Malaysian market regulations is beneficial.
