We are seeking a motivated Field Archaeologist to join our multidisciplinary archaeology program in Greece. This full-time role combines hands-on fieldwork, data documentation, and collaboration with local communities to advance cultural heritage preservation.
As a member of our field team, you will contribute to excavation campaigns, survey projects, and post-fieldwork analysis. You will work alongside senior archaeologists, conservators, and researchers to ensure rigorous contextual recording and responsible stewardship of artifacts.

Responsibility
- Plan, supervise, and document excavation, survey, and recording of archaeological contexts according to established protocols.
- Record stratigraphy and artifact contexts using field notebooks, digital databases, GIS, and photogrammetry tools.
- Operate field equipment (GPS, total station, camera systems) and maintain data integrity for field and laboratory workflows.
- Collaborate with conservators, specialists, and lab staff to prioritize artifact handling, cleaning, conservation, and curation.
- Prepare daily field reports, site maps, context sheets, and contribute to comprehensive project documentation and final reports.
- Engage with local communities, stakeholders, and site managers to communicate findings and uphold ethical heritage practices.
- Ensure health and safety compliance on-site, manage permits, and coordinate logistics with the project team.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field; field experience strongly preferred.
- Hands-on archaeological fieldwork experience with stratigraphic recording and context interpretation.
- Proficiency in field documentation methods and data management; basic GIS/CAD skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with artifact handling, conservation basics, and cataloging procedures.
- Strong written and spoken English; knowledge of Greek is advantageous.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, tolerate physically demanding tasks, and travel as required.
