Responsibility
- Conduct field surveys, excavations, and site evaluations in accordance with current standards.
- Accurately record and analyze stratigraphic and artefactual data on-site.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on findings, including digital mapping.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure best practices.
- Assist in post-excavation analysis and artefact conservation.
- Contribute to public outreach and educational initiatives.
- Maintain safety standards throughout all project phases.
- Support junior archaeologists and oversee small field teams as required.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Archaeology or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years professional fieldwork experience in the UK.
- Excellent knowledge of British heritage legislation and archaeological standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in GIS, GPS, and digital site recording tools.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
- CSCS card (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
