Job description

Field Project Manager (Interior & Furniture) at Mimic Interior

Lead on-site interior and furniture projects from initiation to handover, ensuring progress, quality, and on-time delivery while coordinating the design team, suppliers, and contractors to bring the project vision to life. This role suits a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and seeks to drive excellence from concept to completion.

As a field leader, you will translate construction drawings and specifications into actionable on-site plans, manage procurement and logistics, supervise installation teams, and uphold rigorous quality and safety standards. You will partner closely with clients to manage expectations, document changes, and deliver exceptional results that align with approved budgets and schedules. You will also maintain clear, proactive communication with all stakeholders to minimize risks and keep projects aligned with target outcomes.

What makes this role compelling is the blend of design intent and practical execution. You will own the on-site project plan, monitor daily progress, identify risks, and implement timely mitigations. You will contribute to process improvements and share learnings across future projects, helping Mimic Interior raise the bar for interior and furniture fit-outs.

Key success factors include strong communication, meticulous organization, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and site personnel in Balaraja and surrounding areas. You will also maintain documentation such as RFI logs, submittals, change orders, daily progress photos, and punch lists to ensure audit-ready records.

Responsibility

  • Lead on-site management for interior and furniture fit-out projects from inception to handover, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, schedules, and budget.
  • Coordinate with clients, designers, vendors, and subcontractors to align expectations and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to keep targets on track.
  • Manage site logistics, procurement, material deliveries, quality inspections, and documentation (RFI, submittals, change orders, punch lists).
  • Ensure safety, compliance with local regulations, and site rules; conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
  • Prepare progress reports, cost control analyses, and client updates to facilitate transparent decision-making.
  • Lead continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and optimizing workflows for future projects.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as Field Project Manager or Site Supervisor for interior/furniture fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of interior construction processes, furniture installation, and vendor/subcontractor management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills; fluent in English and Indonesian where applicable.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and MS Office; familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD/Revit) is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel locally; on-site availability and overtime as needed.
