Samudra Toys Indonesia is a dynamic consumer goods company designing, manufacturing, and distributing playful toys across Asia. We are seeking a proactive Finance and Accounting professional who is fluent in Mandarin to join our growing finance team in Tangerang. This role supports finance operations, reporting, cost control, and cross functional collaboration as the company scales its regional footprint. In this Mandarin speaking finance role, you will work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers across Asia to ensure accurate financial records, timely closes, and compliant processes in line with local regulations and company policies. You will help manage daily accounting activities, drive data integrity, and provide reliable insights to support strategic decisions. You will be part of a diverse team that values curiosity, collaboration, and a hands-on approach to problem solving.
As a key member of the finance function, you will participate in month end close activities, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and treasury operations. You will also assist with tax compliance, statutory reporting, and internal controls while leveraging your Mandarin language skills to facilitate clear communication with international partners. Responsibility
- Manage day to day accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for senior leadership.
- Coordinate supplier and customer payments and reconciliations in Mandarin for clear cross border communication.
- Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury activities to support business needs.
- Assist with month end close, budgeting, and forecasts in partnership with department heads.
- Ensure compliance with Indonesian tax regulations, statutory reporting, and internal controls.
- Support process improvements, internal audits, and ERP data integrity across finance functions.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Fluent in Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) with professional business communication skills in English or Indonesian.
- 2-5 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in manufacturing, retail, or consumer goods.
- Solid knowledge of Indonesian GAAP, tax rules, VAT, and statutory reporting.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Odoo).
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem solving.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; able to work cross functionally in a fast paced environment.
