We are seeking a capable Finance and Admin Manager to join Matahari, a growing company based in Taman Sri Andalas, Selangor. In this role you will oversee the full finance function and critical admin operations to support the business strategy and sustainable growth. You will manage full sets of accounts, credit control, and basic HR administration, ensuring accurate financial data, robust internal controls, and timely regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include steering monthly close and financial reporting, managing accounts payable and receivable, supervising payroll, and preparing management reports that inform decision making. You will monitor cash flow, forecast requirements, and drive collection efforts to optimize working capital. You will also ensure compliance with statutory requirements and tax filings, while maintaining clean audit trails and up to date accounting records. In addition, you will handle basic HR administration tasks such as onboarding and records keeping, in collaboration with HR partners, ensuring a seamless experience for staff.

Responsibility
- Oversee full finance function including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing
- Lead credit control and debt collection, manage aging reports and improve days sales outstanding
- Prepare month end close, financial statements and management reports with accurate analysis
- Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships and provide cash forecasting
- Ensure statutory compliance and timely tax filings, maintain accurate statutory reports
- Maintain internal controls and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Coordinate basic admin and HR tasks including onboarding, records maintenance and payroll liaison
- Manage a small team, mentor staff and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or related field; professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance with supervisory exposure
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards MFRS and regulatory requirements; familiarity with tax compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems such as MYOB, SAP, QuickBooks or Xero; strong Excel skills
- Solid understanding of credit control, AR/AP, invoicing and cash flow management
- Experience in payroll processing and HR administration; ability to liaise with payroll providers and HR partners
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and reporting skills
- Ability to lead and develop a small team and work with cross functional stakeholders
