Private Advertiser is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to lead financial operations in Shah Alam, Selangor. This pivotal role focuses on cash flow optimization, accurate financial reporting, and strategic planning to support business growth. You will partner with the executive team to drive profitability, manage budgeting, forecasting, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards. The successful candidate will be data driven, hands on, and capable of translating numbers into actionable insights that influence strategic decisions for the company and its stakeholders.

As a Finance Manager you will oversee the end to end finance function, including accounting, treasury, and financial reporting. You will work closely with operations and commercial teams to optimize working capital, implement robust internal controls, and prepare timely management accounts. Your expertise in analytics will help shape budgeting cycles, forecast accuracy, KPI tracking, and cost optimization initiatives. You will lead a small finance team, mentor staff, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. You will also manage relationships with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and audit readiness.

Responsibility

  • Lead and oversee all financial operations including accounting, treasury, and reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support day to day operations and growth initiatives.
  • Coordinate monthly closure, prepare management accounts, and deliver insightful financial analysis to senior leadership.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning with cross functional teams to support strategic decision making.
  • Maintain internal controls, risk management, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales, and procurement to optimize profitability and cost management.
  • Develop and mentor the finance team, driving process improvements and professional growth.
  • Interact with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders to ensure audit readiness and good governance.

Qualification

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA are preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership, preferably in Malaysia or similar markets.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS/MSA) and IFRS.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools; ability to implement improvements.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and data analytics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to present complex data to non finance audiences.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and problem solving skills.
