Join a dynamic finance team as a Finance Manager for a Berhad company in Kuala Lumpur. This role blends leadership, technical accounting expertise, and strategic financial planning to support Bursa Malaysia reporting, consolidation, and comprehensive financial reporting.
In this role you will oversee the monthly and quarterly close, ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, and coordinate statutory filings and Bursa Malaysia submissions. You will lead the group consolidation process, manage intercompany eliminations, and maintain robust internal controls across the finance function. Working closely with the CFO and business units, you will provide insightful analyses, budgeting and forecasting, and performance reporting to drive business decisions.
As a key partner to senior management, you will drive process improvement, standardize reporting packs, and implement governance that strengthens financial integrity. The ideal candidate will have Berhad/public-listed experience, strong technical knowledge of IFRS, and hands-on experience with ERP systems and consolidation tools. Responsibility
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the group, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery of financial statements.
- Oversee group consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and Bursa Malaysia requirements.
- Coordinate Bursa Malaysia reporting, statutory filings, and other regulatory submissions; monitor deadlines and ensure readiness for audits.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and internal controls across entities.
- Partner with the CFO and business units to deliver budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting to support strategic decision making.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization of monthly reporting packages to shorten close cycles and improve accuracy.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the finance team; establish performance objectives and provide coaching and growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulators to ensure timely audits and compliant reporting.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA) preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3–5 years in Berhad/public-listed environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements; experience with statutory reporting.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and consolidation tools; proficiency in Excel and data analytics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills; ability to influence at senior levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy under pressure.
